Mastering the Space Between Trigger and Choice
There are a space and places.
Most people never seen.
It’s the split second between what happens…and what you do next.
That space is small. Sometimes microscopic. Sometimes barely even noticeable.
But inside that space or place is your entire future.
THE TRIGGER IS NOT THE PROBLEM
Let’s get something straight:
The trigger is not the issue.
The tone.
The look.
The disagreement.
The silence.
The criticism.
The delay.
The disrespect.
The misunderstanding.
None of those are the real problem.
The problem is what happens inside you when they appear.
Your body tightens. Your breath shortens. Your mind speeds up. Your heart rate shifts. Your voice changes.
And before awareness steps in —reaction fires.
That’s your unconscious mind stepping in.

WHAT REGULATION ACTUALLY MEANS
Regulation does not mean you don’t feel.
It means you can feel without losing control.
It means:
• You recognize the rush before it becomes rage.
• You notice the fear before it becomes avoidance.
• You sense the sadness before it becomes shutdown.
• You catch the insecurity before it becomes overcompensation.
Regulation is the skill of staying inside your body without letting it hijack your behavior.
It is strength under pressure.
It is discipline in motion.
It is emotional leadership.
“Reaction is reflex. Regulation is power.” — Kane83
